End of hols
Half-term ended with a visit to my friend Sarah and her boys in Starcross. We don’t seem to have caught up with many people these holidays but, all too soon it will be summer and I know we’ll be rushing everywhere to catch up and play
.
Sarah was in my ante-natal class when I was expecting the twins and for a while the whole group met up after (the births)with their little ones, so they’ve all known each other since before birth
. We lost touch for a while but met up again in town a few years ago and have become good friends again. It’s always lovely to see her and the Peas love her boys- though they do continually forget the name of her little one
.
It was a beautiful day and after a nice lunch (and a good gossip, obviously
),we all headed to the park. I was really excited to be asked to go to Turkey next year for a girls holiday and, whilst it will be tough to afford it, I definitely need the break. It’ll be so good to have something to look forward to just for myself and I know I’ll have loads of fun with Sarah
.
DEP had the Peas for the weekend and I had a neighbourhood meal to attend on Saturday. This was enormous fun but we were so loud that the couple on the next table moved
. Afterwards, we hit a few pubs and then danced the night away in a club. I didn’t get home until 5:15
- I’m too old for this as I was ready for my bed by 2:30!!
I think, if there had been any interesting men, I may have been more lively but, to be honest, when the music stops I’m bored and the evening ends there for me ![]()
On Sunday (after a long lie-in), I pottered for a bit and then headed off into town for the St. Georges day brownie/scout/cub/rainbow parade. SweetP was taken part for the 2nd time and it was Pea 2’s 1st time. My camera,DEP’s phone camera and the phone camera of another friend (ex-boyfriend of mine/DEP’s best friend -V. complicated) all died as they marched past
so DEP had to run further down the road to get a photo
. Although, I think Lou has a photo as we bumped into her and B in town too
Whilst the Brownies were attending the Cathedral service after the march, DEP, Pea 1, DEP’s mum and I all headed off for a cup of tea. DEP couldn’t seem to understand that I needed an invitation to join them as I didn’t just presume I could as that would have been rude. Afterwards,we collected the Peas and they all headed off with DEP as I hit burger king for tea yummy but very bad for me after a meal out the night before!
And then the hols were up and it was back to being annoyed by other home-edders

Just wanted to say thanks for trago
all that stuff is going to keep us going for weeks - or maybe hours, lol!
